About the Translation Information Clearinghouse and TIC Talk
The United Bible Societies’ Translation Information Clearinghouse (1987-2011) provided reference services to UBS translation personnel and others involved in Bible translation, and developed bibliographies on topics related to their research interests.
The purpose of this newsletter was to provide translation consultants with information on recent trends and publications in the fields of Biblical studies, linguistics, translation, and computers in areas that pertain to Bible translation. The newsletter usually began with a bibliographical article on recent trends in some topic of interest (an index lists each article and the issue where it can be found), followed by notices of recent publications in Bible Translation, Biblical Studies, and Language and Communication.
